Banking in Lithuania is quite modern and easy. The big bureaucratic machinery is not much of a problem. Their websites and the internet banking in general are usually offered in at least two languages, often three; Lithuanian, Russian and English.
How to open a bank account?
You only need an identity document along with your residence permit, temporary or permanent in order to open a bank account. When you apply for a bankcard you usually have to refer to proof of funds (e.g. an income).
